Qur'an 41:49

لَّا يَسْـَٔمُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِن دُعَآءِ ٱلْخَيْرِ وَإِن مَّسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَيَـُٔوسٌ قَنُوطٌ

“Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing.”
